ART STREET WORKSHOPS
Welcome to Art Street Workshops!
We offer educational, creative and fun art workshops for artists ages kindergarten to adult. Most of our workshops can be customized to fit any age group. Do you have any ideas or special requests for a particular workshop? We can create a customized workshop for your needs. We look forward to hearing from you!
Students will learn the fundamentals of calligraphy. They will be shown how calligraphy can be used to create letterheads, greeting cards, stationery, and so much more. Each participant will go home with a calligraphy marker.
Students will learn basic drawing and printmaking skills through styrofoam relief printing. They will also learn that many copies of a single design can be made.Students will make their own printing plate as they draw on styrofoam. Then they will create prints using ink, brayers and colored paper.
Students will learn and use fundamental clay techniques to create their own monster. This is a fun activity that will bring out the silly creature in everyone! They will leave with a white cupcake that needs to dry, and written instructions on how to color it. A cupcake painting workshop may also be arranged. Special pricing for both workshops.
Students learn how to express themselves by seeing shapes in the world around them as they create their own unique and beautiful designs with ease. Zentangles can be used in endless ways—greeting cards, creative journals, stationery, logos, to name a few. It is an easy to learn, relaxing and expressive art form. Excellent workshop adults, too!

For greeting cards, gifts or just for fun, students will really enjoy making a pop-up card. Students will see how easy it is to make a pop-up mechanism for any type of card they would like to create. Once they learn this technique, it's a simple matter for them to create pop-up cards at home.
Making a Gelli print is simple magic! It is a quick, easy, and FUN way to make the most amazing prints. Students will create their own one-of-a kind, amazing prints. Once they have experienced this process for themselves, they'll be addicted.
Students will create a book they can use as a sketchbook, a journal, a photo book, an autograph book, an idea book, a diary-the ideas are endless!
Doodle Bots can be made from found objects and recycled materials. They work using simple circuits, motors, switches and batteries. Students will explore playing with variables (weight of materials and drawing implements) while making their very own drawing machines. A little bit of science and a few magic markers make this workshop funtastic!
Rubber stamping is a craft in which some type of ink is applied to an image or pattern that has been carved. In one workshop, students use rubber stamps, supplied by the instructor, to create book marks, cards, stationery, etc. Another workshop teaches students to make their own rubber stamps using their own designs.
ARTIST TRADING CARDS
Artist Trading Cards are miniature works of art. They can be about anything and made with any media, materials, or techniques.They are usually made on card stock, and can be traded between artists. Artists will create one-of-a-kind originals for themselves, and/or to trade with other artists.
Mobiles & stabiles are synonymous with the term "kinetic art", describing works in which motion is a defining property. Students will create their own mobile which they can hang up and watch as it moves.They may also create a stabile, which is a freestanding abstract sculpture in the style of a mobile, with movable parts, but that is attached to a solid unmovable base.
Origami is the Japanese word for paper folding. It is an art which has been handed down through many generations. Students will learn basic folds in order to create beautifulpaper origami creations to take home. There are an origami creations for every age level!
Glass gems created in these workshops can be given as gifts, used for conversation starters, decorations, and many other things. Students will have fun making magnets out of maps, patterns, glitter, words from old recycled dictionaries and books.
RECYCLED CD ART
Students will have fun with this great, super cool, and easy way to recycle old CDs that don't have any use. They will make beautiful works of art that they can decorate their rooms with, and/or give as gifts.
RECYCLED CD ART
Repousse is the art of free hand metal embossing to achieve a detailed sculptural relief. Students will draw a design of their choice and then transfer it to a metal sheet by pressing on the reverse side of the metal surface. They may then either color it with sharpies, watercolors or ink.
